Employee Spotlight: Kerry Ronquillo

We are pleased to feature Kerry Ronquillo for our Employee Spotlight!  Kerry has spent the last 18 years working in the financial services industry.  He graduated from Kansas State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

He started as a finance manager at a local car dealership and progressed to a commercial loan officer position at U.S. Bank, where he achieve “Top Tier” status.  Upon leaving the bank, he joined Bankers Systems, Inc., where his duties allowed him to consult with various “C” level positions around their need for software and compliance-related products.  During his tenure, he was recognized for having sales in the top 10% of the company.  In 2003, Kerry joined Suntell as a sales executive.  In 2007, he was promoted to Senior Director of Business Development by Duane Lankard, and remains in this position today.

Kerry says that he loves Suntell’s entire suite of products: the standardization that it brings, the data integration and elimination of duplicate data entry, and the efficiency of learning to use only one software program for practically anything in the organization’s lending department.  Kerry appreciates working in a Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE), and has worked that way since before it was given its name.  The flexibility to work “whenever he wants” and still achieve his sales results is key to his family’s lifestyle.  This quarter – Q2 2013 – was one of the best sales quarters in Suntell’s history.  Kudos to Kerry and everyone who helped to achieve this result!

The Ronquillo family – Kerry, his wife Kathy, and four children – live in Beatrice, Nebraska.  Outside of work, Kerry has been helping his wife get her new business off the ground: Fistful of Daisies – Furnishings with a Past.  He has also enjoyed working with his oldest son (Creighton, 18) on several car restoration projects.  They just finished up and sold a 1963 Cadillac De Ville Park Ave, of which only 1,575 were ever built.

Kerry reflected over the 10+ years he has been at Suntell.  He admits that the early days were very rocky, due to the management team that was in place, however since Duane Lankard took over as CEO and Ronnie Wooten was able to spread her wings as President, he says that the changes have made him smile.
