Our Interface Specialist, Garet Phillips, volunteers for Meals on Wheels twice a month. She was motivated to take on this particular work because her father, a disabled Navy veteran, received Meals on Wheels deliveries every day for several years. The volunteers were many times the only people he saw that day and it was a comfort to her family to know he was getting nutritious meals and checked on daily. Garet says that it brings her a lot of joy and visit with the people receiving meals.
