Each and every year we receive a few calls where the customer has a server crash where Suntell resides.The customer’s IT staff has a misconception they have all data required to perform a full restore when they really don’t. This is because they either didn’t know what they should be backing up, the backup solution wasn’t working as intended, or they fail to have a solution in place altogether.

This is because they either didn’t know what they should be backing up, the backup solution wasn’t working as intended, or they fail to have a solution in place altogether.

Just recently we had a customer lose images from our Document Imaging platform due to hardware failure. Fortunately for them, they had not destroyed the hard copies of the scanned documents. Although they can cover from the unfortunate incident, it certainly will be not without a lot of sweat and tears.

Our support staff is well trained and can help you restore your Suntell solution. What we cannot do is regenerate your data. It important to understand that it is your responsibility to ensure your institution has a properly approved Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan and as such, this plan should include your Suntell data as well.

You may not be personally responsible for maintaining the backup solution however I invite to open the discussion with your co-workers . After all, you may just be the one re-keying / scanning this information.
